Clean Campus Week

This year the Clean Campus Week will take place on April 26-30, 1999.

Each school that participates in this competition will receive free daffodil bulbs. This competition is held to determine the cleanest school campus in the City of San Jose. It also creates the opportunity to expand environmental awareness and to encourage students to think about the importance of their environment and the role they can play in caring for it by cleaning up their campus areas and improving their communities.

The competition is divided into three categories:

  • Elementary School
  • Middle School
  • High School

The winning schools receive their awards at a City Council meeting and receive a basket containing educational videos appropriate to their age group and a flag that they may fly announcing to their neighborhood with pride, that their school has won an important honor.
