earth.tech.2000  is an environmental Expo which offers the community a chance to explore a wide range of environmental issues while being introduced to many of the innovative technological solutions intended to help preserve our planet. San Jose Beautiful continues its environmental education effort by planning for this second year event which offers "hands-on" interactive presentations as well as a new interactive exposition area. The event will unite environmentalists, educators, corporate representatives, and the Bay Area community and give them the innovative opportunity to educate each other.

The purpose of this event is to educate the public about environmental issues and technological achievements with the goal of empowering them to make wiser choices as consumers and concerned citizens for the future of our planet. The event is funded through the acquisition of sponsorships and grants where money obtained is used to produce and implement the event (i.e. advertising, permits, promotions, etc.).
