Applications are temporarily closed.

  • The property nominated must be within the San Jose city limits.
  • The property will be judged based on how it looks from the street.
  • All building permits must have been obtained. Properties with any outstanding violations will be disqualified.
  • A recent photograph of the property must be included. If possible, a "before" picture should be sent. (If a before photo is not available, please take extra care to provide details of the property's original condition.) If you would like your photos returned, you must enclose an appropriately sized, self-addressed envelope with adequate postage.
  • Responses must be contained on this original form. Limit information to what is asked for. Do not attach any additional pages, except for mounted photos.
  • The committee reserves the right to move you into a different category.
  • The committee reserves the right to withdraw your application if any instructions are not followed.
