VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

The Steering Committee is the guiding and volunteer force behind a citywide beautification and environmental education program of the City of San Jose.

• An appointment is for two-year term.
• Committee members are eligible to be re-appointed.
• Meetings are held ten times a year.
• Nomination cycles are held twice a year with appointments occurring in January in July.

Committee Responsibilities

Personal Commitment

• Choose at least one subcommittee on which to serve.
• Participate in San Jose Beautiful activities and workshops

Attendance Commitment

• Maintain regular attendance at monthly meetings

Partnership Commitment

• Identify and solicit potential project and event sponsors.
• Assist in identifying and recruiting volunteers.
